Arguably, Boston is one of the greatest sports
towns in America.
Boston's professional sports teams offer both
interesting contrasts and paradoxes.
For example, many would argue... even
some of the Patriots players themselves... that despite two Super Bowls in three years, the City's darling is still the Boston
Red Sox who have not won a World Series since 1908.
Win, lose, or draw, Boston and New England
fans are avid supporters of their sports teams; they post some of the high percentages of seats sold throughout the respective
leagues. For example, "Friendly Fenway," being one of the remaining "old time" baseball stadiums, has one of smallest seating
capacity, but yields one of the larger grosses in the League.
That's just the way it is
in Boston.
